new concert series
Jeugdbrand is visual artist, radio maker, graphic designer, and thus also musician Dennis Tyfus, together with his companion, percussionist Jeroen Stevens — both straight out of Antwerp. So feel free to expect improvised drama; theatrical, adventurous, tragic, surprising, yet marinated in a classic Antwerp anarchistic sense of humor.
Dare to listen!

The improvising trio Exhaust brings together three top talents from the improvisation scene (the day before, they perform at London’s renowned Café Oto) and deliver a dynamic feast of spontaneous creation. Nebbia’s powerful saxophone voice drives the ensemble with intensity, while Downes reveals a side of his playing that leans into raw immediacy and unrestrained expression. Lisle acts as both a catalyst and anchor, crafting fluid rhythmic structures that support and propel the trio’s intricate interplay.
Expect a vast spectrum of sound, shifting between melodic counterpoint and richly textured soundscapes, embracing contrast and constant transformation.
Their first album ‘Exhaust’ on NYC label ‘Relative Pitch’ in May 2025.

Played and recorded with many artists of the international scene such as Marilyn Crispell, Michael Formanek, Angelica Sanchez, Randy Peterson, Tom Rainey, Patrick Shiroishi, Vinnie Sperrazza, Katt Hernandez, Kenneth Jimenez, Lesley Mok, Susana Santos Silva, Elsa Bergman, l’ Arfi collective of Lyon, Joanna Mattrey, Vincent Dromowski’s Flow regulator, John Hughes, among others.
