The Baljuw project reflects the shared interest in sound, texture, and transformation of two active musicians from bands like Suura, Erem, Nagløed, and Matterhorn Well. The two harmonic instruments (Rhodes & guitar) extend their color palette through the careful use of effects.

The duo explores various musical realms such as jazz, improvisation, chamber music, and folklore, making their approach very eclectic, unconventional, and boundary-crossing. Rough, growling textures give way to gentle plucking, only to transition through bowed guitar into an icy snow landscape where the wind cuts, church bells toll ominously, and harmony is distorted until only white noise remains.
