Bart Verbeke gave a stunning solo concert at Ensemble Tursday Circle last year, one more reason to invite him again.

The basis of Bart's music is a free and anarchic approach. Gradually the influences have been enriched with a lot of classical music, a lot of world music and jazz. Expect a medley of notes from Ravi Shankar, Huun Huur Tu, Lili Boulanger, Bill Frisell, Abdullah Ibrahim and salon music.

He has already released a dozen albums in which improvisations converse with music by Arvo Pärt, Philip Glass and J.S.Bach and his latest album "Best of 1999-2024" has just been released on bandcamp and streaming platforms.
